Open to adults of all ages. Sings weekly Sunday Noon Masses, rehearses Thursday 7:30pm
The Adult Choir leads congregational worship every week with hymns and anthems of praise to God. All are welcome to join; music-reading ability is helpful but not necessary. Membership is 20; this figure sometimes balloons to 30 on special occasions, thanks to an extended family of guest singers.
For the Winter/Spring season, the Choir also leads song on the evenings of Ash Wednesday and Holy Thursday, Good Friday afternoon, the Easter Vigil, and First Holy Communion Masses. Information on the Spring masterwork performance TBA on the Music Events page. See the Music Events link for more information.
For 2012 the Our Lady of Grace Choir was privileged to welcome Royal Brass, Consonance Strings, Concert Artist Cooperative organist David Lamb, and timpanist Salvatore Restivo—alongside the choirs and soloists of St. Rose of Lima and St. Aidan. Together the group performed Pergolesi’s Magnificat and Handel’s Messiah Part Three. Beyond church premises our Choir has performed for non-profits The Josephine Foundation, The Salvation Army, Pronto Long Island, and East Neck Nursing Home.
