In this time of uncertainty, there are still some things that remain constant. The passion, death and resurrection of our Lord, Jesus. We are a people of hope! This hope holds true as the news reports that our COVID-19 flattening the curve efforts are showing a glimmer of positive improvement. May God continue to answer our prayers for the gifts of strength and fortitude that we may emerge from this time renewed and transformed for the better. May this Easter Season be one of great meaning as we recall the words of the Easter Exsultet:
“May this flame be found still burning by the Morning Star:
the one Morning Star who never sets, Christ your Son,
who, coming back from death’s domain, has shed his peaceful light on humanity,
and lives and reigns for ever and ever.”
Thank You for Continuing Your Church Offerings!
So many continue to remember Our Lady of Grace with your donations during this time of pandemic. Some have come in the mail; others come through the slot on the parish office door when the church is open for prayer. We rely completely on your generosity to pay our bills and maintain our operations. The diocese has also developed a “Text to Give” option for each parish enabling you to make a weekly donation on your smart phone. To do this, text “165parisholgrace” to 516-271-3338. Please continue praying for our first responders, doctors and nurses, and all those helping on the front lines. Thank you and may God bless you and your families with health and safety.
Sincerely in Christ,
Fr. Joe Davanzo, pastor
